Midnight Legend was a game and durable performer, winning at 2 years and retiring sound at 8 years. During the first 2 seasons at stud he was covering mares whilst still racing.  This speaks volumes about his temperament . He is an absolute gentleman of a horse in every way.  This horse has correct conformation , bone and substance. He is a good and naturally well-balanced mover.

STATISTICAL UPDATE - 1st January 2011

"The average Racing Post Rating of Midnight Legends runners is higher that that for runners by such outstanding sires of the day as Presenting, Flemensfirth, Oscar, Kayf Tara, Accordion, Old Vic, Supreme Leader".

"Midnight Legand has a higher % of runners rated over 130 on Racing Post Ratings than Presenting, Flemensfirth, Oscar, Kayf Tara, Accordion, Old Vic, Supreme Leader".

"Almost 25% of Midnight Legend's runners are rated over 120 and almost 50% over 100, the latter figure being in line with his near 50% ratio of winners to runners."

"The RPR's of runners by Midnight Legend are an average of 17.9 lb higher than those of foals by other sires from the same mares.  More than three times as many of Midnight Legend's runners achieved ratings over 120 than did the runners by other sires; and whilst almost 5% of the Midnight Legends were rated over 140 not a single runner by another sire achieved this rating".

This means that Midnight Legend is a stallion who has not only proved his ability to upgrade his mares, but has proved himself well able to compete with stallions who have been afforded far better opportunities in terms of number and quality of mares.  With the better mares that his successes have earned him, he is now poised to prove himself one of the great NH stallions.  Use him whilst you can!"

Won on her 3 year old NHF debut at 3 years and again at 4 years and placed 3rd in Listed Mares NHF Aintree. Won twice and placed three times in Novice Hurdles in 2008/09.  WON at Ascot on her Chasing debut.

Won Chase at Warwick on 15/01/11 following recovery from slight fracture of her pelvis in February 2010.

Retired from racing after 6 wins on OR135.  Now infoal to Pitchalls' progressive dual purpose young sire PASSING GLANCE.
